3. Cutting and Finished Product Size Requirements

• The size of the stone countertops depends on their installation specifics.

A. Countertops Installed at Both Ends of the Wall:

• Length Dimension:
  The length of the countertop can be 1-2mm smaller than the specified size when installed against the wall.
• Other Dimensions:
  The dimension of the countertop in the direction not leaning against the wall (or one side of it leaning against the wall) depends on:
  • The material of the countertop
  • The processing technology and edging method applied

B. Edging and Allowance:

• Edging on Both Sides (Length Direction):
  If edging is applied to both sides along the length direction, the width dimension must include:
  • A 2mm grinding and polishing allowance, not less than 1mm.
• Unilateral Edging Allowance:
  If only one side is edged, the allowance should be at least 1mm.
• Chipped Edges:
  If the bottom edge of the material is seriously chipped, you must:
  • Add a margin at least equal to the length or width of the chipped edge in the width direction.
  • Remove this margin during the grinding and polishing process.
