Expert Installation and Resin Grouting Techniques
For the best performance and longevity of your rose quartz slab, precise installation and resin repair methods are essential—especially when addressing cracks, hollows, or uneven surfaces.
Using Low-Viscosity Epoxy Resin for Repairs
When repairing surface cracks or hollow areas, low-viscosity epoxy resin can be used for effective bonding and sealing. Here's how to apply it properly:
- Mixing Instructions: Combine Component A and B in a 3:1 ratio and stir thoroughly using mechanical equipment.
- Dilution (Optional): If needed, reduce viscosity by adding a diluent like acetone, xylene, or a special resin thinner, depending on the crack width and field conditions.
- Mixing Limit: Prepare no more than 1 kg of the compound at a time to prevent early curing.
- Curing Times: The initial cure time is approximately 0.5 to 1 hour, while full curing occurs in 24 hours. Note: larger volumes shorten the initial curing time.
Grouting Procedure
1 . Use a high-pressure grouting pump to inject the resin into the hollow sections beneath the slab.
2 . Continuously tap around the perfusion hole using a rubber hammer to help the resin spread uniformly.
3 . Monitor the diffusion range by tapping and observing flow—typically 1.5 to 2.5 liters of resin per hole is sufficient.
4 . For seriously warped corners, apply a 20–30 kg weight after grouting to press the slab down firmly. Remove the weight after 24 hours, once the resin has fully cured to ensure a strong cohesive bond.
Post-Grouting Maintenance
To maintain your tools and equipment:
- Clean the grouting machine daily using Tianna water or acetone, followed by diesel or engine oil to prevent clogging and ensure long-term functionality.
