It is common sense that unqualified yellow sandstone slabs cannot be used. However, for individual projects, due to various factors and unavoidable reasons, yellow sandstone slabs and travertine have been purchased and processed without technical demonstration and feasibility analysis. Some engineering slabs have been transported to the site and even installed on the wall. Afterwards, it was discovered that the selected yellow sandstone slabs did not meet the basic conditions described in the second section of this article, and thus faced a dilemma. These slabs that do not meet the requirements, whether on the wall or not, will face great risks.
According to common sense, slabs that do not meet the basic requirements cannot be put on the wall. Replacing the slabs is undoubtedly the safest decision and the best choice. However, the facts are established, the exchange of boards will face tremendous pressure from all aspects, and the owners and related personnel will find it difficult to bear. In this unavoidable situation, we can only retreat, carry out strict technical demonstration, and adopt special safety measures. Even if there is an increase in engineering costs for this, it must be done without hesitation, because safety is priceless.
