According to reports, Turkish limestone producers who could only export blocks a few years ago are now able to export more than 200 varieties of finished white limestone flooring. According to statistics from the Istanbul Minmetals Exporters Association (IMMIB), in 2004, Turkish limestone exports totaled 626 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 45% over the previous year, accounting for nearly one-tenth of the world's total white limestone flooring trade. The soil limestone industry has become a strong competitor of Italy and Spain in the international market. According to reports, due to the rich variety and good texture of earthen white limestone flooring, it has been exported to many countries. World-renowned buildings such as the French Parliament Building, the US House of Representatives and Disneyland have adopted Turkish limestone.

At the end of February, representatives of the local white limestone flooring industry gathered in Antalya, the southern city of Turkey, to discuss the current problems and future development directions of the industry at a two-day meeting. Participants believed that the main problems that currently exist are the excessively high loading and unloading costs of ports, high energy prices (including industrial electricity and fuel oil), and poor infrastructure in mining areas. The Minister of Energy and Energy, Helmi Guler, who attended the meeting, said that the mining industry is an important industry for the country. In order to increase employment and expand exports, the Turkish government will issue 1,500 limestone mining licenses in the near future, which will increase 3.2 Million job opportunities. Ali Kahyaoglu, chairman of the Istanbul Mineral Exporters Association (IMIB), said that in the past five or six years, despite the impact of various unfavorable factors such as the economic crisis, the production and export of white limestone flooring has remained at 20 per year. % Or more, this year the export volume of earthen white limestone flooring will exceed 1 billion U.S. dollars. The goal of earthen limestone merchants is to reach 8 billion U.S. dollars in national exports in 2010 and become the world's limestone export champion.
