Guidelines for White Agate Table Top Surface Planning
1. General Planning Considerations
- The White Agate Table Top surface layout should consider its relationship with walls and columns.
- The block size should be proportionate to the building space for a balanced and aesthetic look.
- The seams of the table top should be:
- Connected with the vertical seams of the wall and column (through seam) or
- Regularly aligned for a structured appearance.
2. Deformation and Expansion Joints
A. Main Structure Deformation Joints
- Must preserve deformation function.
- If the joints are not straight or do not match the design, the designer should decide on-site to ensure both functionality and aesthetic integrity.
B. Expansion Joint Requirements
Expansion joints (minimum 8mm) should be placed in the following locations:
- Restricted stone areas, such as sections that need to align with pillars, stringers, curbs, and ceilings.
- Corners of concave walls where positioning lines change at the base level.
- Transitions between different materials, such as porous bricks, conventional clay bricks, and concrete blocks.
- Between adjacent building components, including brick walls and concrete columns, as well as between different base layers.
C. Large-Area & Continuous Surfaces
For large or continuous stone surfaces, ensure deformation joints are set as follows:
- Steel structure areas: Every 50m².
- Corridors: Every 8–15m.
- Concrete structure areas: Every 80m².
- Corridors in concrete structures: Every 10–25m.
- Expansion joints size: 5mm–8mm.
3. Design Considerations for Parquet Flooring
- If the White Agate Table Top includes parquet designs, the parquet positioning line should be applied first.
- For modern geometric parquet designs, the pattern should be aligned with the seams of the surrounding White Agate Table Top to ensure a seamless and harmonious look.
