It is not advisable to use more water for travertine floor tiles cleaning: travertine floor tiles is a porous material, so it is easy to stain, so you should use less water for cleaning. Wipe it regularly with a slightly damp cloth with a mild detergent. Then wipe dry and polish with a clean soft cloth. Severely worn travertine floor tiles is difficult to handle. It can be wiped with steel wool and then polished with an electric sander. Make it regain its dull luster. Or wipe carefully with liquid scrubbing agent. You can clean the stains with lemon juice or vinegar, but you should be very careful. It is best not to stay on the lemon for more than 1-2 minutes. Don't leave the lemons there for a long time for the travertine floor tiles to absorb, repeat the operation if necessary. Then wash and dry. For minor scratches, special travertine floor tiles cleaners and care agents can be used.

For antique or valuable travertine floor tiles, please ask professionals to deal with it. Painted travertine floor tiles furniture may have to be treated with paint stripper. It should be done in accordance with the product instructions, several coats may be required. After removing all the paint, wipe it with steel wool and polish it with an electric sander. Some people do not support this method, but it is effective. For cosmetics, tea and tobacco stains, you can apply hydrogen peroxide containing a few ounces of ammonia. Leave for two hours, then wash and dry. For oil stains, use ethanol (alcohol), acetone (wood spirit) or lighter oil to wipe, then wash and dry.
