5.0 Finished Product Protection
5.1 Protection of Infrastructure
- When spreading cement mortar leveling layers, avoid damaging water and electrical pipelines or other equipment.
5.2 Door Frame Protection
- Ensure careful handling of materials during transportation to prevent damage to door frames.
5.3 Waste Slurry Disposal
- During terrazzo grinding, promptly remove ground cement waste slurry.
- Prevent slurry from entering drains and floor drains to avoid blockage.
5.4 Splash Prevention
- Use a cover plate on the stone grinder to prevent slurry splashing onto walls and facilities.
- Cover important equipment and areas to avoid damage during grinding.
6.0 Quality Issues to Watch For
6.1 Broken or Unclear Grid Bars
Causes:
- Grid bars are not firmly inlaid or are not lower than the surface layer.
- Lack of firm tapping on both sides with an iron trowel before hydraulic pressure.
- Bending or crushing of grid bars during roller rolling.
Prevention:
- Lightly pat stones on both sides of the grid before rolling to prevent bending or damage.
6.2 Missing Stone Particles at Corners
Causes:
- Improper bonding of grid bars.
- Thick cement slurry not applied correctly at the right angle.
Prevention:
- Apply thick cement slurry at a 30° angle when bonding grid bars.
- Keep the top of the grid bars 4-6mm away from the cement slurry.
- Ensure pores are left for proper mixture application without covering the grid bar edges completely.
