1. Avoid Direct Water Flushing

Like natural wood, sandstone is a porous material that absorbs moisture easily. Excessive water exposure can cause:

• Cracking
• Weathering & Shedding
• Staining (rust spots, water spots, fogging, etc.)

2. Keep Away from Non-Neutral Substances

There are various types of wax, including water-based, oil-based, and acrylic waxes, most of which contain acid or alkaline substances. Misuse of wax can:

• Block the natural breathability of the stone.
• Cause surface yellowing and wax buildup.
