Protective Treatment for Spanish Sandstone Random Stepping Stones

Spanish sandstone random stepping stones have a loose texture, high porosity, high water absorption, and low mechanical strength. Additionally, they have low processing gloss and less vibrant colors, making them prone to damage when used for exterior wall decoration.

To enhance durability and aesthetics, after discussions between the owner, designer, and stone supplier, they agreed to use F-104D stone sealant for protection.

Protection Process:

1️⃣ Ensure complete dryness of the sandstone before treatment.

2️⃣ Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dust and pollutants.

3️⃣ Protect adjacent non-stone surfaces from accidental sealant application.

4️⃣ Apply the sealant evenly using a brush in a crisscross pattern, ensuring no areas are missed.

5️⃣ Allow the stone to dry naturally for at least 24 hours, avoiding rain or high dust exposure during this period.
