Shandong Purple Sandstone 900x600 Light Board
Overview
Shandong purple sandstone is a high-quality sandstone characterized by a purple background with fine white grain patterns. It has a uniform and stable color, offering a solemn and rich appearance with harmonious texture and minimal color variation. Some variations may include light purple or brownish tones.
Origin & Mining Conditions
Shandong purple sandstone is primarily sourced from Junan County, located on the southeast coast of Shandong. It belongs to the marine sandstone category and features relatively coarse grain structures with high hardness—comparable to granite.
Mining Conditions:
- Located in a plain area, providing excellent mining conditions.
- Capable of producing large blocks up to 3m x 2m.
- Custom-sized blocks can be supplied based on demand.
Processing Constraints:
- Due to local equipment limitations, the primary supply consists of 80-90cm slats.
- Large slabs over 1.2m or 1.4m require processing in Shuitou, Fujian.
- A few factories can produce 1.2m slabs, but they come at a higher unit price.
