Red Sandstone Wall Cladding Grinding & Protection Process

Step 1: Dry Grinding Backfilling

Before grinding, spray VD Hardener No. 2 evenly on the red sandstone wall cladding surface until slightly moist. Start the machine with a grinding plate and grind evenly until the hardener is dry.

Step 2: Sequential Grinding

Grind the red sandstone wall cladding sequentially, cross-grinding each numbered section multiple times:

• Single-disc machine: Cross-grind each number section more than 5 times
• Grinder: Cross-grind each number section more than 3 times

After grinding up to 3000#, clean the surface thoroughly and ensure it is completely dry.

Step 3: Application of VD Penetrating Protective Agent

• Pour the VD penetrating protective agent onto the stone surface.
• Spread evenly using a scraper, roller, brush, or other tools until fully absorbed.
• Apply a sufficient amount until the stone no longer absorbs the agent.
• Allow curing for 24 to 48 hours after application.

Step 4: Application of VD Stainless Steel Glaze

• Apply an appropriate amount of VD stainless steel glaze on the stone surface.
• Use a single-disc machine with a scouring pad to polish evenly until a bright finish is achieved.

Step 5: Final Coating for Finished Product

• Apply VD stainless steel glaze at least twice to achieve the final polished effect.

Effect Example

The process is effective even for red brick, which is looser in structure compared to red sandstone wall cladding.
