      Volcanic Tuff

      1. Red Sandstone Floor Tiles Composition:

      Glass Debris (≈ 35%)

      • Red, mostly arc-shaped, pumice-shaped, and irregularly shaped.
      • Particle size: 0.7mm.
      • Completely extinct under orthogonal light, indicating vitreous nature.
      • Some glass chips are zeolized, containing lath-shaped zeolite crystals, making them colorless and transparent.

      Crystal Chips (≈ 25%)

      • Plagioclase: Bright feldspar crystals with weak secondary changes and step-like broken edges. Some appear as single crystals, while others are polycrystalline and covered with darkened minerals. Twin crystals, including Kana composite twins, are visible.
      • Quartz: Present in small amounts, cracked, and eroded.
      • Biotite: Mostly darkened, but cleavage and pleochroism remain visible.

      Cuttings (≈ 5%)

      • Andesite: Shows a porphyritic structure, with plagioclase phenocrysts and a fine lath plagioclase matrix rich in iron minerals. Some exhibit an interwoven structure of glass crystals.
      • Matrix: Contains chlorite.
      • Tuff: Glassy crystalline tuff composed of plagioclase and biotite.

      Pulp Chips (≈ 15%)

      • Irregularly shaped, large in size.
      • Interior has a twisted texture and vitreous nature.
      • Some individuals show devitrification with visible chlorite.

      Volcanic Dust (5%–35%)

      • Glassy with no microstructure.
      • Appears colorless and transparent under monolithic light.

      2. Comprehensive Naming:

      Purple-red magma-bearing crystalline debris tuff
