Installation Guide for Paver Sandstone Slabs
1. Installation of Multi-Layer Stone Curtain Walls
- The assembled stone panels should be installed sequentially from bottom to top and from left to right.
- Begin by carefully installing the first stone slab on the bottom layer, following the curtain wall reference line.
- Prioritize edging around window openings before proceeding with other sections.
- After each floor installation, adjust for vertical alignment errors to prevent cumulative misalignment.
2. Installation of High-Rise Stone Curtain Walls
- The assembled stone panels should be installed sequentially from top to bottom and from left to right.
- Start with the first skin stone panel on the top layer, aligning with the curtain wall reference line.
- Complete the trimming around window openings before continuing.
- Adjust for vertical alignment errors at each stage to maintain structural precision.
7. Joint Seam Treatment for Paver Sandstone Slabs
Before applying stone sealant, two tests must be conducted:
✔ Compatibility Test – Ensures the sealant adheres properly to the stone.
✔ Pollution Resistance Test – Checks if the sealant affects the stone’s appearance or quality.
Only after passing both tests should the sealant be used. Joint sealing treatments are categorized into two types:
1) Open Seam Treatment
- A water-blocking sheet is added inside the stone joint to prevent rainwater infiltration.
- ✅ Advantage: Enhances the exterior aesthetics of the wall.
- ❌ Disadvantage: Not suitable for projects requiring thermal insulation, limiting its application.
2) Sealed Joint Treatment
- Sealant is injected into the joints, fully sealing them.
- ✅ Advantage: Suitable for a wider range of applications, particularly in buildings with thermal performance requirements.
By selecting the appropriate sealing method based on design specifications and regional characteristics, the durability and performance of paver sandstone slab installations can be optimized.
