The previous protection method used fluorine-based stone protective agent to protect limestone wall cladding, but we found that its anti-fouling effect is still not satisfactory. Especially limestone wall cladding used for exterior wall decoration. However, the effect of fluorine-based stone protective agent on other beige marbles is much better than that of limestone. Why? We believe that the main reason is that the porosity and pore diameter of limestone wall cladding are much larger than other beige marbles. We know that the fluorosilicone stone protective agent does not seal the pores to achieve waterproof and antifouling, but achieves the anti-capillary phenomenon by changing the surface tension of the inner wall of the stone pores so that the liquid cannot penetrate into the pores to achieve waterproof and antifouling. This is for the pore size. Stone pores smaller than 0.1mm can play a very good effect, and a large part of the pores in limestone are larger than 0.1mm. It is these large-diameter pores that inhale a large amount of dust and other pollutants that cause serious limestone wall cladding. Pollution.

It can be seen that the key to solving the problem lies in how to effectively reduce the large pores of limestone. Here we have developed a kind of high solid content nano-scale water-soluble silica sol specifically for limestone wall cladding, called "limestone silicifier", after brushing and dipping on the surface of limestone wall cladding. It can penetrate into the pores of limestone, and after drying and solidification, it will form a network of silica gel crystals to fill the pores of limestone. The insolubility of the gel is stable and strong (better than the limestone itself), so it has a permanent filling and reinforcement effect, which greatly reduces the pore size of the limestone wall cladding and makes the surface more dense. The surface hardness is also greatly improved.
