Honed sandstone cladding is a widely distributed rock that can be processed into building and facing materials that meet different needs. However, due to the porous surface of sandstone, its moisture content increases after being drenched in rain, and it is prone to mold and moss in a cool environment. Once a large number of molds and moss grow on the porous surface, it is difficult to remove it. In order to prevent the growth of mold and moss, oxalic acid cleaning is often used as a protection technique, that is, oxalic acid diluent is applied to the sandstone surface, scrubbed with a brush, and then cleaned with water to clean the diluent attached to the sandstone surface. However, the effect of this treatment is not yet satisfactory. The reason is that mold and moss will regenerate on the surface of sandstone over time. In addition, after the surface of sandstone is cleaned by acid, it will turn brown or be contaminated after 1 to 2 years, forming stains.

This honed sandstone cladding protection technology makes up for the shortcomings of the current protection technology. Its technical point is to impregnate a modified polysiloxane resin protective agent with a ladder-shaped structure on the surface of sandstone with a moisture content of less than 15% (preferably less than 5%). Carry out curing to form a protective layer against mold and moss.
