I dug up the ground, then prepared compacted gravel and laid out the terrain as a path and terrace. I placed the granite flagstone walkway on a sandy floor to find the best fit for the granite flagstone walkway design and filled the gaps with decomposing granite. I made sure that the cracks in the granite rock flagstone were as close as possible to each other and as far away from the edge of the granite slab as possible. 

With a push-pull broom, I swept the crushed granite with flagstone into the cracks and then used a hose to wet it, then I used the hose to wet it. I also mixed the larger plates with small fillers, but I didn't want to use all the larger stones just to leave a few filler pieces when I finished the other side. When I laid the last stone for the edges on the far side, I bought a bag of curshed granite flagstone walkway to be used as grout. You can mortar the granite flagstone devon with a mixture of Portland cement and sand, but I only did this after the terrace was installed. I ground the joint to a level with the stone and then added more as the granite settled down until it was about 1 / 4 inch thick.
