Muscovite
- Colorless and transparent
- Long strip shape
- Very complete cleavage, often bending deformation
- Flashing protrusion phenomenon is obvious
- Bright interference color under cross-polarized light, reaching the top three levels
Biotite
- Brown or green
- A group of cleavage developed
- Strong pleochroism and absorption
- Uneven interference color under cross-polarized light (second to third level)
- Often deformed, forming curved knee folds
Main Rock Fragments in Clastic Rocks
1. Metamorphic Rock Cuttings
- Quartzite: Composed of mosaic-like polycrystalline quartz
