1. Ensuring High-Quality Mosaic Tiles

Rigorous Craftsmanship

When selecting high-quality dark green marble mosaic tiles, consider the following factors:

• Anti-Slip Surface: Touch the glazed surface to assess its slip resistance.
• Thickness & Density: Greater thickness indicates higher density, leading to lower water absorption.
• Texture & Glaze: A well-glazed inner layer often signifies superior quality.

Low Water Absorption

Water absorption directly affects the durability of mosaic tiles. To test:

1. Place a water droplet on the back of the tile.
2. If the water remains on the surface, the tile has low absorption and better quality.
3. If the water penetrates quickly, the tile is of inferior quality.

Gloss Consistency Test

1. Select nine glass mosaics and form a square.
2. Place them in a well-lit area.
3. From a 1.5-meter distance, check if the gloss is even.
4. Uneven gloss may result in fading in humid areas, affecting the appearance of bathroom walls.

1) Prevent Physical Damage

• Avoid dropping heavy objects onto the mosaic surface to prevent cracks or breakage.

2) Cleaning & Maintenance

• Use general detergents like decontamination powder, washing powder, or toilet cleaner for tough stains.

3) Repairing Missing or Loose Tiles

• If tiles fall off or are missing, use a matching mosaic tile for patching.
• Recommended adhesive formula for reattachment:
  • Option 1: 1 part cement + 1 part fine sand + 0.02–0.03 parts 107 glue
  • Option 2: 1 part cement + 0.05 parts 107 glue + 0.26 parts water
  • 107 glue should be 0.2%-0.4% of cement content for optimal adhesion.
• For small missing sections, mix white latex with water (3:1) and a little cement for bonding.

4) Winter Protection

• In cold northern climates, take precautions to prevent freezing on mosaic floors.
