Detailed Process for Thin and Small Size Block Materials (Side Length Less than 40cm)
1. Basic Treatment and Setup:
- Begin by vertical lifting, setting squares, and finding rules for alignment.
- Ensure there is no more than one row of non-whole bricks on the same wall. These rows should be installed in more hidden parts for aesthetic purposes.
2. Base Preparation:
- If the base is wet, brush a line of 107 glue cement slurry (with 10% water weight of 107 glue). Then, apply the slurry to create the base.
- Bottom Ash Preparation: Use a 1:3 cement mortar mix for the bottom ash. This layer should be about 12mm thick, divided into two passes:
- The first pass should be about 5mm thick.
- The second pass should be about 7mm thick.
- After compacting and flattening the bottom ash, scratch the surface to ensure proper adhesion for the next layer.
3. Block Material Placement:
- After the bottom ash has solidified, divide the block material into elastic lines.
- Apply a plain cement slurry of 2-3mm thickness, mixed with water and 20% 107 glue to the back of the wet block material.
- Inlay the blocks and use a wooden hammer to gently tap the blocks into place.
- Use a ruler to level and straighten the custom terrazzo tiles, ensuring a smooth, even surface.
This ensures that the blocks are firmly in place and aligned, providing a solid foundation for the flooring or wall tiling.
