3.1.6 Inlaid grid strips: Use a small iron trowel to smear the thick cement paste to fix the grid strips (the grid strips are installed on the grid line), and wipe them into a 30° eight-shape (Figure 7-1). 4~6mm below the top of the grid strip, the grid strip should be straight (the upper level must be consistent), firm, tightly connected, and there should be no gaps, as a sign of laying the surface layer. In addition, when pasting the grid strips, at the cross joints of the grid strips, in order to make the mixture full, do not smear the grout within 40-50mm from the intersection point (Figure 7-2).

3.1.11 Trial grinding: The number of maintenance days is generally determined according to the temperature. The machine grinding can be started within 2 to 3 days when the temperature is 20 to 30 ℃. If the grinding stone is opened too early, it is easy to loosen; too late will cause difficulty in polishing. Therefore, trial grinding is required to ensure that the surface layer does not lose stone particles.

3.1.12 Coarse grinding: Use 60 to 90 rough diamond grinding for the first pass, make the head of the stone grinder run horizontally on the ground in a "8" shape, and add water while grinding (if the curing time of the stone surface is too long, it can be Add fine sand to speed up the grinding speed), clean the cement slurry at any time, and check the flatness with a ruler until the surface is smoothed and evenly ground, and all the grid bars and stone particles are exposed (the corners are manually ground to the same effect), Rinse with water to dry, and then use a thicker cement slurry (such as a surface layer mixed with pigments, use a cement slurry mixed with the same ratio of pigments), especially the small pores of the surface layer should be filled and smoothed. The fallen stone particles should be made up. Watering and curing for 2 to 3 days.

3.1.13 Fine grinding: Use 90-120 diamond grinding for the second time, and it is required to grind until the surface is smooth. Then rinse with clean water, rub the cement slurry a second time, and still pay attention to the small pores to be carefully rubbed tightly, and then cure for 2 to 3 days.

3.1.14 Polishing: Grinding with No. 200 fine diamond for the third time, grinding until the surface stones are evenly exposed, there is no lack of stone particles, and it is flat and smooth, and there is no porosity.

The number of polishing passes for ordinary custom terrazzo surface layer should not be less than three. The thickness and number of polishing passes for high-grade custom terrazzo surface layer and oilstone specifications should be determined according to the design.
