Brush Cement Paste and Lay Mortar Bonding Layer

Prepare the Cushion:

(A) After cleaning the cushion, sprinkle water with a ladle to moisten it. Brush a layer of plain cement slurry (water-cement ratio: 0.4 to 0.5). Ensure the brushing area is not too large, and apply the mortar while brushing.

Determine Mortar Thickness:

(B) Determine the thickness of the mortar bonding layer based on the horizontal line of the board surface. Pull the control line to guide the placement.

Lay the Cement Mortar Bonding Layer:

(C) Begin laying the dry-hard cement mortar (1:2–1:3 ratio) for the bonding layer. The mortar should have a "dry-hard" consistency: it can be kneaded into a ball by hand and will disperse when dropped.

Prepare the Tiles:

(E) Soak the black and white granite tiles in water beforehand. After soaking, wipe them dry or allow the surface to dry before starting formal paving.

Pave the Tiles:

(F) Pour a layer of plain cement slurry (water-cement ratio: 0.5) onto the cement mortar bonding layer. Use a mortar pot to spray it evenly.
(G) When the surface water of the cement slurry penetrates the lower dry-hard cement mortar, begin laying the tiles. Ensure proper placement and alignment as per the control line.
