Materials and Main Equipment for Black and White Granite Installation

Materials

 1.Granite Stone:

• The variety and specifications of black and white granite must meet the design requirements.
•  Conformance with "Natural Granite Building Board" (GB/T 18601-2009) is required, including technical grade, gloss, and appearance standards.

2.Cement:

• Use Portland cement, ordinary Portland cement, or slag Portland cement with a strength grade not lower than 32.5.

3.Sand:

Medium or coarse sand with a mud content not exceeding 3%.

Main Equipment

Tools and Instruments:

Trolley, shovel, ruler, water ladle, gray bucket, iron trowel, wooden trowel, ink fountain line, steel tape measure, nylon thread, rubber hammer (or wooden hammer), iron level, curved square ruler, steel chisel, broom, wire brush.

Machinery:

Grinding wheel saw and wheel saw.

 Preparation Steps

 Inspect Granite Slabs: Upon delivery, verify that the variety, specifications, and quantity meet the design requirements.

Set Up Equipment:

Install the grinding wheel saw and connect water and power supplies.

 Ground Preparation:

 Ensure the ground cushion, embedded line pipes, and pipelines passing through the ground are completed.

Create Construction Drawings:

 Prepare a detailed large-scale construction sample drawing for laying the granite slabs.

Temperature Considerations:

In winter, ensure the ambient temperature during construction is not below 5°C.

Process Flow for Installation

Preparation Work:

 Gather materials and tools, and ensure all equipment is functional.

 Base Treatment:

•  Clean the ground cushion thoroughly.
•  Use a wire brush to remove any adhered mortar, then sweep the surface clean.

 Brushing Cement Slurry:

Apply cement slurry as a base for the mortar layer.

 Laying Cement Mortar Combined Layer:

Spread and level the cement mortar to create a base for the granite slabs.

Laying Granite Slabs:

 Position the black and white granite slabs precisely according to the design layout.

 Filling and Wiping Joints:

Carefully fill the joints with appropriate materials and wipe them clean for a seamless finish.
