Construction Process and Operation Points for Arabesque Mosaic Tiles
1. Construction Process
The installation follows these steps:
- Tool Preparation
- Applying Arabesque Mosaic Tiles Waterproof Adhesive
- Pasting Construction
- Caulking Construction
- Finished Product Protection
2. Operation Points
A. Applying Arabesque Mosaic Tiles Waterproof Adhesive
- For natural marble slabs with many cracks and low strength, reinforcement is necessary, especially when installing on floor heating surfaces due to temperature variations.
- The bonding surface should be reinforced with an alkali-resistant back net.
- It is recommended to use alkali-resistant glass fiber mesh cloth with a specification of no less than 145g/㎡.
- Batch coating of adhesive is best completed at a slate processing factory.
B. Steps for Applying Adhesive
1. Blending the Waterproof Adhesive
- Mix the Arabesque Mosaic Tiles waterproof adhesive according to the recommended ratio.
2. Batch Coating Method on the Back of the Slate
Pre-Cleaning:
- Use a brush, spatula, or other tools to remove dust, dirt, oil stains, and resin back net from the bonding surface.
- Ensure the slate surface is clean before applying adhesive.
3. Coating Thickness Requirements
- For ordinary reinforced mesh cloth → slurry thickness: ~0.8mm.
- For alkali-resistant reinforced mesh cloth → slurry thickness: ≥1mm.
-
For travertine Arabesque Mosaic tiles →
- Apply adhesive directly onto the board surface before netting.
- Then scrape again using the batch netting method.
- The required amount of alkali-resistant mesh cloth coating is ~1.5kg/㎡.
