Guidelines for Using 20mm Sandstone Paving

1. Outdoor Cement Structures

• Must be mixed with tile glue, sand, and cement as auxiliary adhesion materials.
• If the adhesion of 20mm sandstone paving (larger than 400mm / 16 inches) is insufficient, it may bend in hot weather.

2. Indoor Use

• Stone up to 100mm (11 square feet) can be used for flooring or curtain walls.
• 30mm (1 1/4 inches) thickness:
  • Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
  • Ideal for heavy traffic areas, such as casinos or hotels.
  • Can be used for furniture tops and panels exceeding one square meter.

3. Motor Vehicle Lanes & Heavy Traffic Areas

• 30mm sandstone paving: Must be constructed on a cement structure.
• 50mm (2 inches) thick stone:
  • Suitable for motor vehicle lanes, swimming pool bottoms, and sidewalks on gravel.

4. Special Considerations

• If using stone under 500mm, apply special adhesive for swimming pools to prevent skewing in hot temperatures.
• 40mm (1 1/2 inches) thick stone:
  • Ideal for interior decoration.
  • Can be used for exterior walls if no heavy objects (e.g., signboards) are attached.
  • Suitable for various pavement styles, including mosaic and frame-type installations.
